Private Sponsorship of Canadian Refugees

You can help bring a refugee to Canada as part of a group that will offer financial, emotional, and settlement assistance for the immigrant.  There are three categories under which to sponsor a refugee.

Sponsorship Agreement Holder

An organization that signs a sponsorship agreement with the Government of Canada.

Group of Five

Five or more Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Community Sponsor

An organization, association, or corporation.
