The Classes of Resettlement from Outside Canada

If you live outside of Canada and wish to immigrate as a refugee, there are three classes under which to apply.

Convention Refugees Abroad Class

This applies to people who are not currently in their home country.

Country of Asylum Class

This applies to people who are not currently in their home country, and are severely affected by either armed conflict or human rights violations.

Source Country Class

This applies to people who are severely affected by armed conflict and human rights violations while living in their home country.
